About the Feeds Library

The Feed Library provides access to a collection of feeds relevant to NHS Scotland & Social Services Staff. Feeds or RSS, as they are widely known, can sometimes be hard to find on websites and time consuming if subscribing from many different sites. The Feed Library allows users to search, find and subscribe all from one site.

Feeds help you take control of the information you are interested in, helping you to keep up to date without having to remember to visit the sites or clutter up your email box. Feed readers help you to collate all the information/feeds in one place. Providing an area for users to browse the headings and only read the full details if they are interested in the information.

Originally, feeds kept you uptodate with the latest news from the site, which is why you may have heard of feeds being referred to as ‘NewsFeeds'. Nowadays feeds can distribute all types of information, including articles, publications, Journal Table of Contents, podcasts, database searches, guidelines, blog entries, discussion posts etc.
